1. Purpose of Donation

Your donation directly supports:

• Organizing Chhath Puja events and related cultural activities
• Procuring materials, permits, and logistical support
• Community outreach and volunteer coordination

2. Non-Refundable Contributions

All donations made to Chhath Puja SoCal are non-refundable.
Please verify your donation details, including amount, event, and confirmation number, before submitting.

3. Donation Confirmation

• You’ll receive a confirmation email or on-screen message after submitting your donation.
• If donating via Zelle, you may be asked to upload a screenshot and confirmation number for verification.

4. Privacy & Data Usage

We collect your name, email, and phone number to:

• Confirm donations
• Send important updates related to the event or your contribution

🔒 Your personal information will not be shared, sold, or used for marketing purposes.

5. Tax Disclaimer

Chhath Puja SoCal is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations are generally tax-deductible in the United States to the extent permitted by law. Please retain your donation receipt for your records and consult with your tax advisor for specific guidance.

6. Event Changes

In case of event cancellation, rescheduling, or venue changes, we will notify donors through email or our official channels. Donations will still be used for community initiatives.

7. IP Address Collection

For security, fraud prevention, and audit purposes, we log the IP address from which each donation is submitted.
This information is stored securely and used only in compliance with our privacy policy.
